More Christmas!

Every Christmas my family always gets together. My Parents always come over to watch the kids open gifts then go to my Sisters to watch their kids. We all meet over there and have breakfast. Later in the day, everyone comes to my house to have dinner and do our gift exchange and play games. We always have such a good time. I am so Blessed to have such a great family. Yeah, we do get on each others nerves sometime, but we all always have fun!Layci also got the tag reader pen and book and case. She sits and reads with it for hours at a time. I am hoping this will help her start sounding out words better and learning some words.
This is my neice Chloe. Isnt she adorable? This picture was a gift for my Sister from her in-laws. Their neighbor drew it of Chloe. Isnt it amazing? That look in the picture is a typical Chloe look. It is adorable. I couldn't believe how good it was!

Christmas Morning!

The kids were soooo excited this year to get up. They woke us up at 4:15 am. I said Absolutely NOT! go back to bed. You can come get me at 7:15....Well they just couldn't contain their excitement, so needless to say, I never got back to bed. They were way too Noisy! This is them ready to get to their Presents.
Santa brought Dylan and Hayden these gaming Chairs. They each got one. Layci got exactly what she wanted. An easy bake oven and Lip gloss. ( I don't know why we didn't get a picture of it!)
Layci and Hayden wanted the color wonder light up paint set thing.....This BIG present was just for Dylan.....He wanted an ipod...Do you think he got it? Well I figured if I wrapped it in a Big box, he would not be able to guess. Yes he got his ipod. It was from, Us, Nana and Papa, and Uncle Chris.

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town!

Yesterday we went to the mall....It was Trinas 3? Birthday. We went to lunch and looked around at some stores in the mall. Layci was really excited to tell Santa what she really wanted for Christmas. She told him an Easy Bake Oven and Lip Gloss. I think this is really the first year she was excited and actually sat on his lap. She is 5 1/2 though..... We also wrote a letter to santa and put it in his big red mailbox. She had a fun day too!

Rudolph....At the Recital!

Layci had her dance recital the other night. I just love the recitals. She really gets into it and she loves to dance. They danced to Rudolph the Red nose reindeer. It was so cute to see all of the different ages dancing, from 2-10.
This is Laycis Friend Emmoree. They have been in the same class now for a few years.
I love this picture. Greg caught her in "Flight". I kinda think she looks like Cindy Lou Hoo. That is Emmoree again by her.
All the little reindeers all in a line!

Making Bread!

A Few Months ago a good friend of mine taught me how to make homemade bread. It is the best recipe and it is soooo good! Layci wanted to help me out one day and now it is one of our favorite things to do together! These are two seperate times we made it because I always forget to take pictures of the whole process! She is so cute. She loves to help me make just about anything in the kitchen!

Football Season Is Over!

I am kinda bummed, football season is over! It was so fun watching Dylan this year. He was the one on the field that was always telling the other players stuff like Watch the ball, and go right, go left. After the season they had a team party at Primos. Each team member (boy) gets to vote for who they want to be the MVP, or whatever there were 5 awards given to the boys. The coaches leave it up to the boys to decide who gets one and Dylan got one of the 5. OF course I can't remember what award it was. I was so proud of Dylan. He Did so good, now we just need to work on him tackling harder! Next year!

Layci's Kindergarten Harvest Party

This was Layci's Harvest Party....I headed this project up for her kindergarten class. We took pictures of the kids as scarecrows, they decorated cupcakes as spiders
They made spider suckers with pipe cleaners and they played tic tac toe with candy corn and candy pumpkins. They also colored Halloween pictures and played Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Ghost. Their favorite thing was the tic tac toe game....I was really surprised that they liked that the best. It was a really fun time for them.

Dylan Turned 12!

Dylan turned 12 on October 23. Grandma and Grandpa Westover came up. Dylan became a Deacon the next weekend. Gene wanted to be there when Dylan was ordained. They were so sweet, they bought Dylan this new suit, shoes, and socks, belt etc.....He looked so handsome!

Halloween Pictures....I know Its kind of late!

I know this is kind of outdated but, those of you who know me, know what has been happening in my life. This is seriously the first time I have even logged into my blog since Oct. 7.
The good news, My Dad is doing so much better...everything went well with the surgery, he just needs to take it easy for a few more weeks and watch what he eats.
Halloween was alot of fun for the kids. We went over to Traci's neighborhood for Trick or Treating. Lala wanted to be a cheerleader and since BSU is doing so Awesome I thought it was cute!

This is my nephew Zack. He is such a cutie. He loved going Trick or Treating

Carson, Chloe and Connor. They were all so cute!

I am not sure really what Dylan ended up being, something from Star wars. He put is costume together by himself. Hayden Was his hero Ian Johnson!

Vegas!

This last weekend I got to go to Las Vegas to help my parents with a craft show! I had alot of fun...It is always work to go and help them, but we always go after the show is over at night and look around, go to dinner etc.
I flew in on Thurs afternoon. That night we went to Henderson where Curtis and Christina Young lives and had a BBQ with them. It was so good to visit with them.
Their show is actually in Boulder City which is about 20 miles away. The show gets over at 5 every night and then we go downtown.
The first night we went to the Rio. We ate at the seafood buffet there. It was realy good. We stayed around and watched the show in the sky. They have these really cool things that hang from the ceiling, like a hot air balloon, a boat, this really cool looking flower thing. People are on these things dancing and throwing beaded necklaces down to the casino below. It is really fun to watch. It is also very loud. I kinda liked it. Mom said it was too loud for her. Of course they play awesome Music that I would know!
The next night we went to the Bellagio. They have the most amazing buffet. The food is soooo good. Curtis and Christina and had dinner with us. The Bellagio also decorates this huge room for each season. The room was decorated with all kinds of real flowers, and pumpkins and cool trees etc. It had these amazing trees that were fountains. I know my description doesn't give you a good picture. I took my camera to take pictures and my batteries were dead. I was sooo bummed.
It was a good time! I love going to this show. It is kinda my Birthday present every year. It is fun to get away, but I missed my family horribly! I am glad to be home!

Dylans Court of Honor

Last week, Dylan had a Court of Honor for Boy Scouts. I was really proud of him. He earned his 1st and 2nd class and 8 Merit badges (he only got 4 that night but he had completed 8). We had to hurry right after football practice to get there. I am sure Dylan doesn't smell all that great! :) This is his scout leader Brian Bennion.
This was one of the Merit Badges that That he earned it was for Photography. Greg and Dylan went and took pictures one day this summer and Greg taught him about the camera and diffent settings and stuff. Dylan made a photography board about what he learned. I am really proud of Dylan. His goal is to get his eagle scout by 13 1/2.

Fire Department Field Trip.

A few weeks ago, we went to the fire department for Scouts. Hayden really liked it! The last time he went there was in preschool. He thought it was really cool to be able to play in the firetruck. He was so cute. He kept wanting me to take his picture.

A Day At Doreens!

A few weeks ago my Moms good friend Doreen invited us out to her house in Fruitland, ID for lunch. It was the week of my Mom's BIG birthday. As soon as Layci got out of school we went out there. She has the most beautiful property you have ever seen. She has a huge garden and a beautiful pond. Her yard is so pretty. She raises chickens. Layci thought they were so cute. She was having a fun time watching them and holding the baby chicks.
This is her pond. She has tons of Coy fish in her pond. They were intrigued with Layci, everytime she would come over to the edge they would swim to where she was. I think it was the bright pink lipstick myself! We sat out by the pond and ate the best homemade Salsa. It was sooo yummy!
Layci even got to pet her Bunny. I think Lala had a fun day that day. She keeps asking me when she gets to go back! Anytime Doreen wants to invite us for lunch, Im there. She is an amazing cook!
My Mom was even excited to hold the baby Chicks! Kathy, this picture is especially for you!

The McKnight Broncos!!!!!!!!!

McKnight Broncos

This Is Dylans Football Team. They are called the McKnight Broncos. Dylan is really enjoying it this year. He is actually getting to play alot this year. I am really proud of him. He is #88. He has been playing strong safety. It has been a blast watching him this year. His team has been working really hard too.

I Did It!

I Am so proud of myself. A few weeks ago, Mom, Traci and I decided to do a little canning. This was my first time doing this. I made strawberry freezer jam last year, but I have never canned jam or peaches. It was a fun, rewarding and very messy process. It actually was alot of fun! Next year, I plan to can everything under the sun! Just kidding. Not enough hours in the day! I barely had time to do all of these. We made 64 quarts of peaches and I dont even know how much jam.

So So Busy!!!!

I have not been able to post anything for awhile. I have been crazy busy here. You know my life, always something going on! Between Football, Hair appointments, and helping my Mom get ready for HUGE shows, I have had little or no time to do anything else. Well actually, last week Traci, Mom and I canned a bajillion peaches. We also made peach jam. This was my first experience with peaches. Oh my, I don't think my floor has ever been sooooo sticky ever! But we are really enjoying the benefits from them peaches! YUM. Next year I am bound and determined to have a garden and I will be canning everything I can! It was alot of work, but very fun and rewarding.
Dylan is doing great in Football. He has been playing Strong Safety. On Tues. in practice, he caught 2 interceptions and knocked the ball away from being caught. Now only if he can do that in a game! He is doing great and I love to watch him play. I really look forward to his games on Sat. Well, until it gets really cold! I really hate it then!
Hayden and Layci are having a good time in school this year. Layci is loving riding the bus and Kindergarten. Hayden is doing really well with cursive writing this year. I can't believe how fast they grow.
Well I better get back to work...I have a ton of things to do today, paint signs, print vinyl etc..... I will post pictures of Dylan playing football soon. (I hope)

What a Bunch Of Monkeys!

I always new we had some Monkeys in my family! This just proves it! The kids were having a blast hanging around in the tree and Grandma had to join in the fun! Lala was posing again for the camera with Grandma!

We Love Grandpa and Grandma!

Last Weekend we met Grandpa and Grandma Westover In Twin Falls, ID. We were able to go up for Friday and Saturday to see the new Twin Falls Temple. It was a really quick, but fun trip. I think the kids really enjoyed the temple. They have never been in one before.
After we went through the open house, we went over to Gregs cousins house for a BBQ. The kids were having a blast playing with their cousing Julie who is 13. She was so cute with them. She just entertained them the whole time we were there. The next Morning, we got up and let the kids swim in the hotel pool for a while and then went to breakfast before heading home. It was a fun weekend!

Before and After!!!!

Dylan wanted to grow his hair out since the beginning of the year. In Feb. I told him he could grow it out until he turned 12 which is in Oct...Well as you can see, He didn't last that long. He begged me to cut it short because he was soooo HOT it in.

I think he looks sooo different with shorter hair. I was kinda used to it! He still wants me to put blonde into it though....when we can find some time!
