Dylan's Court of Honor

Dylan had a Court of Honor the other night. The first picture is of him saying the Scout oath, law, moto, slogan and outdoor code..Phew, that was alot!
Dylan doing a skit with his troop. It was called the water conservation skit. Dylan took a "big" swig of the water, swished it around in his mouth, pretended to pass it to the next kid by spitting it in his ear....They each did that until at the end, the last kid spit it out...It was really cute.
His scout master Brian Bennion was awarding Dylan his Merit badges....He got 17! Another new record for the troop! I am so proud at how hard Dylan has been working! He is a great example to the other kids in his troop!
All 17 of them!!!! Dylan was awarded his Life! He is pinning his life pin on me! I am so proud of him! Can I say that enough????? Now that he has his life, he gets to start working on his Eagle project. He has it all ready to go and it was approved. This coming Saturday is when he will be doing it! Then he has to wait 6 months before he gets awarded his Eagle... he will be 13 yrs and 5 months old! AGAIN..... I am so Proud of him!!!!

SWISS DAYS

For those of you who wondered what I do with my parents, this is it. This is one of our biggest shows of the year that we do in Midway, Ut. It is called Swiss Days. As you can see, we have a pretty elaborate set-up. It usually takes us about 8-10 hours just to set up everything. This is only a 10x15 booth space, most shows we have a 10x30.This is with the inventory in the booth, My Dad builds and paints ALL of it with the help of my brothers and My Mom, Sister and I usually finish it, the signs, blocks etc.... It is ALOT of work!
We do custom orders, so let me know if you would like anything! Great Christmas gifts. You can also check out our website at www.giftsfromtheheart-idaho.com

After School......

Layci was soooo tired after going to school ALL day the first day that about 6:00 pm she curled up on the couch and fell right to sleep. As you can see, Taz was a little worried about her and curled up next to her. Every time I would go near her he would perk up and give me a little protective growl. It was so funny. She slept clear until the next morning!Getting off the bus the first day of school....

First Day of School!!!

This is Dylans first day of school in 7th grade. As you can see, he didn't care if he combed his hair or not! Cute little stinker!Hayden is in 4th grade this year. Mr. Phelps class. I love this picture! Hayden's smile looks so cute!
Here is Adorable little Layci. 1st grade this year. I can't believe ALL of my babies are in school all day long! The house is really quiet!

The fort under the house.....

About a Month or so ago, a Friend of mine was selling her stainless steal appliances, she is such a wonderful person and is letting me "trade" for them. I get to Cut, color etc. her families hair in trade for the appliances. There was a gas stove and I have always wanted one. We had a gas line put in when our house was built but never used it. When we remodeled our kitchen, we just capped it off because I thought I would never get a gas stove. Greg had to climb under the house and extend the gas line so it would reach where our stove is now.
The kids thought it was the funnest thing in the world to climb around down under the house. I gave Hayden the camera and told him to take pictures of their adventure! I don't know why he didn't get any of Dylan though! For a few weeks after they wanted to go back down and play under the house. Too funny!

Fall Canning

This year I planted a garden. It was my "real" first experience with one. I think it did pretty well. I planted beans, cucumbers, canaloupe, carrots, peppers, radishes, lettuce, strawberries and tomatoes. With the tomatoes that we did get this year, which really weren't that many, we canned what we could. Layci wanted to help and it was a fun experience canning with her. She is so cute. She sure loved to peel the skins off.
Like I said, we really didn't get much but I did can 7 pint jars full of tomatoes for the winter.
My sister and I also canned peaches and made jam! I love peach jam it is my Favorite!!
